We put Greggie in Watson's room, put Perry in with Harrison
We moved Watson and Eli downstairs. They get up the earliest and are a bit loud so we wanted them seperate for the sake of the other children. So far it has worked all right!
It seems to be a constant juggle trying to get the children where they need to be so everything works out. Eli and Watson both wake up early and are noisy so they wake up the other children who aren't as happy in the morning waking up early. We have tried several arrangements and decided to give this one a try as well. It seems to be working out nicely so far. Greggie was downstairs in his own bedroom secluded from the rest of the family. We decided to move Watson and Eli into the same room as they both wake up early anyway and by putting them downstairs secluded from the other boys, it doesn't matter that they make noise. Eli is still getting out of his bed more than we would like him to, but they seem to be sleeping better. We also put up a curtain in their room that I actually drilled to the wall so they can't play with the curtain or the blinds. This helps keep it darker longer in their room which seems to be helping.
We moved Greggie upstairs into Watson and Eli's old room and he absolutely loves it. It seems to be a better fit for all his stuff and he likes having a little more room as the furniture layout is much better. Moving Watson downstairs allowed Calvin to have his own room which he too was very excited about as now no one will play with his toys or get into his stuff. We did however have to take apart the bunk bed and make two twin beds from it but no one seemed to upset about that. Perry and Harrison are sharing a room and seem to be doing very well together except during nap time which we are still trying to figure out. So far, this new arrangement has been very nice for all of us and we are hoping it stays that way.
