Within a week of unpacking and Geoffrey working in Irving, he was scheduled to work the next week in Corpus Christi. On top of that, they were going to require him to drive because there was a virus that was coming from China spreading across the world. Airplanes were contaminated. Within a couple of days, public event centers were shutting down. The schools closed. The health department said to avoid crowds of people, stay home as much as possible. Geoffrey was then asked to work from home for a couple of weeks. Thankfully no traveling to Corpus, but concern about this virus. Within a few more days, Italy had contracted the virus that spread very rapidly. Many people have been dying there. The government ordered no one to come in or out of the country, sent people who were not from there home, and everyone is on quarantine. People have been freaking out so water, milk, eggs, potatoes, toilet paper, paper towels, many of the basics among other things have been sold off the shelves. Geoffrey and I were then concerned because we had thrown out our old food storage just as we moved. We had to bulk buy to prepare for a quarantine as well. That week the church canceled meeting together and asked us to do At Home Church. We are now in charge of our own families in that way. Some wards have permission to do the sacrament in their homes, we have not yet. We did our first Sunday At Home Church. Geoffrey put a white table cloth on our nice dining table and we all sat around it together as we read from Come Follow Me. He also gave each of the children a father's blessing to help during this uncertain time. It was very special. As the week went on, the church started closing temples. We got very concerned the Dallas Temple would be closed as the virus has been spreading like wildfire in Dallas County. We made a decision to be sealed 2 weeks early. The next day.

going to the grocery store is like going to battle. It is putting yourself at risk of getting the virus every time. Collin County has many cases now. Each day is much worse
Working from home, social distancing
Geoffrey said that he saw one neighbor lady sitting on the brick wall in her yard talking to her neighbor who was sitting in the bed of her truck across the street. He said it was the weirdest thing he ever saw. Then I reminded him of social distancing. Ohhhhh....ya. lol. It is a different world right now.
