We Are Sealed! March 13th, 2020

At the last minute I asked Kimberly Hedges if she would take pictures for us. She was so sweet and did it in spite of the inconvenience and weather forecast. It was a miracle as the rain stopped in time for us to get pictures. I did pray for that hahaha.

I drove Geoffrey's mother up to the temple in her van. She and my mom were the witnesses for our sealing. When we got there Kimberly took a couple of shots of us before we went in. We did some paperwork first. We told them that we decided to get sealed now in case the temple closed before the 28th. My mom and mother in law helped me to get ready in the bridal room. It was so different, knowing I was going to be sealed to Geoffrey. I found it hard to believe it was actually going to happen. Geoffrey and I then met with the sealer for a while and we talked about our story with him. We waited for Ammon as he got stuck in traffic.
The sealer talked about the covenants and ordinances that we make throughout our life and that this was the only one that required someone else. It was very special. Then the time came to be sealed. Looking into Geoffrey's eyes it was so crazy to think that this time it was for us. We had done sealings for others over the months, but this time was for us! So cool!
I wondered if I would feel different after. I did. It was so relieving. I felt so much like I was going to lose him before. Now I don't feel that. So nice!
We hugged everyone and then as we were about to go outside of the temple we asked about going out in my temple dress for pictures and the lady said, no it wasn't allowed. Geoffrey's mother said that at a different temple they did. She said, "You know what, it's the last days, who cares. Just don't tell anybody. It is the end of the world." oh my goodness lol. Then, she made a comment that it was a good thing I was pretty so I could get married?? Kinda funny. It was special to have my mom help me. It was special for Geoffrey's mother too because she was able to be there and participate. Faith was able to make it, Ammon, Jarom and Rebekah, Adam and Minnie, Kim Hedges, Geoffrey's parents, and Laura. Outside the temple the kids bombarded us and we did our best to take pictures. It was so fun! Felt so good to be sealed!

After we braved the virus to eat out at Spring Creek BBQ near by.

Beautiful picture of the temple from my mom. It looks like the day we were sealed because it looks as though it had just rained in the photo haha. So cool.

One of the more special things about this day is that we were sealed 50 years to the day of when my parents met on their blind date. Friday the 13th. Pretty awesome! :)
