We worked hard painting this movie room. It was a lot of work, time and money! My goodness. We got the paint color wrong for the ceiling. We don't know what the color was we loved so much originally so that was sad. But we are enjoying it. The atmosphere is fun. I painted a gold wash on the pillars. I was running out on the back pillar so we will have to get more one day so I can finish it up better. One day we will get a projector and screen. We will also get new chairs eventually. These are quite comfortable but they are breaking down. They wore out pretty quick due to how they were sat in in the past before we met. We are happy we have all these projects we have worked on together, but they have been difficult as they take so much time and we are tired. I think I have worn Geoffrey out on the project front. We will probably take a break for that for a while.
My goodness what a project. This project took a little more work than I originally thought it would! We picked blue for the ceiling but ran out of paint and had to go get more. We ended up buying the wrong color...twice. Well we couldn't find the original color so I ended up just keeping the second color and doing the second coat with it. Unfortunately I dropped pain from the ceiling a couple of times. Maybe I shouldn't be painting so late into the night! Tia did a wonderful job picking the colors. The red and blue really make it feel like a movie room. She also did a terrific gold wash on the columns which really made it pop. She is so good at everything! I love her so much! A lot of fun with a lot of memories. How grateful I am that our family is eternal!
