Miracle Trip to Florida

Our family pulled off a miracle! Geoffrey was able to get a plane ticket for 11 dollars I believe, for me to go with him on a business trip to Florida! Aimee, mom, Minnie and their kids helped watch the children so we could go on such an escape! I was so excited that we could visit DarEll and her family! I haven't been to her home sense I was in high school! SO wonderful! She was also struggling with a stress rash poor thing! We happened to run into Faith and Cody's family at the same time there! That was so amazing! We stayed long enough to play some games before journeying three hours back to the hotel. It was beautiful. 

We ate some delicious margarita pizza and chocolate cake at the hotel room service. We went to the temple on Tuesday in Miami. We had an interesting experience there. We decided to do sealings. When we knelt the alter, the sealer said to me that if i had trouble at all, feeling faint at all to let them know, because you know, the twins. 

It was silent. Geoffrey turned red, we were confused. I just thought he was thinking of someone else. The woman next to him, a witness (yeeeees woman can now be witnesses) said, because you're pregnant. 

I suspected I was but they were saying i was... and twins??! It was awkward silence and then on with the sealings. I didn't feel well so we left and went to the celestial room. We talked about what the sealer had said. What could he mean? We left the celestial room and there found the sealer. We asked him about it and he said he didn't know why he said it. It just came to him and he said it. He also said he's never been wrong lol. He gave us words of encouragement, saying the Lord will always provide a way. 

I ended up not being pregnant at that time. I refer to my stomach as the twins now though. Just in case it does eventually happen, I can at least be somewhat mentally prepared??....lol

Such a fun trip with so many great memories. I was able to let Tia tag along on my business trip. The hotel was going to be paid for anyway so why not have both of us there. Yes I was indeed able to use my miles for the plane ticket so I only had to pay taxes which was 11 dollars. We left early Sunday morning and returned on Wednesday afternoon. On the plane we ate a snack and watched the new Aladdin which was great. When we landed in Florida, we grabbed our rental car and headed to church to take the sacrament. We feel it is important to take the sacrament whenever we can so even on trips we don't want to miss it. We made it just in time for church to start....in Spanish. HAHA Even though we didn't understand much, we did feel the spirit. We decided to go ahead and leave after taking the sacrament as we couldn't understand anything. We grabbed a bite to eat and headed to DarEll's house which was about three hours away. It was a beautiful drive with mostly the national park we drove through. 

While at DarEll's, we were able to spend time with most of her family and also see Faith's family. That was so fun being able to see everyone. I was still in my boot from injuring my ankle but other than that it was great. We stayed and ate some food and played a few games including the craziest game of tic-tac-toe I have ever played. Before it got too late, we decided to head back to the hotel which was three hours away. Once we arrived, we ordered some of the best pizza we have ever had as well as a delicious quesadilla. Each morning Tia was able to sleep in while I went to the conference I was attending. She would order food service while I at the conference. Every once in a while I would have a break and I would go up to the room to see her and spend some time with her. On Monday we went to Disney World which we discuss in the next post. On Tuesday we went to the spa as a treat from my mom. It was fantastic. We did a couples massage which lasted about an hour and it felt terrific. We both really enjoyed it. Then we went to the temple and performed sealings. I absolutely love kneeling across the alter from my beautiful bride and cannot wait until we are sealed together forever. After the temple, we decided to go and get a pregnancy test and we were thinking Tia might be pregnant but it turns out she wasn't but we know the Lord will bless us with more children when the timing is right. We then ordered more of that delicious pizza. Wednesday we woke up and I went to the last of my meetings and then we headed to the airport and flew back home. We went from the airport to pick up Greggie, Calvin, Perry, and Harrison from Tyler's house and then went to get Watson and Eli. It is always so nice being together as family again. This was a wonderful trip and I can't wait for us to do another one again.
