Fixing up Calvins new bike we got him for his birthday
This was my first trip meeting the whole family. I flew up from Corpus Christi for a work meeting in Dallas. Tia and I went on a date Thursday night to the temple and then to get some food. We ended up eating Chick-Fil-A. We accidentally stayed out too late and when we noticed the time it was almost 1 in the morning. Tia looked extremely tired and I was deeply concerned that she had an hour drive back to her mom's house. I decided to drive her back home and then catch an Uber back to the hotel I was staying at. She was concerned but I knew it would be better for me to drive as she was falling asleep just sitting there. The drive was hard for me to stay awake and I am sure my eyes closed once or twice. Tiaura slept almost the whole way home. She was so beautiful and I loved watching her sleep. I was glad to have the chance to serve her in that way. She was very concerned about me getting back to the hotel and getting enough rest. I told her I would be okay. I caught an Uber and paid about $75 dollars. I figured it was better than her not making it home that night. The next day Tia came to pick me up from work. I was having lunch with my boss Greg across the road from our corporate office in Irving. He offered to get Tia a lunch as well which was very nice. She ended up getting there a little late so I ordered her a Salad to go. She ate that as we drove towards her mom's house. We decided to go to the mall as we a little bit of time before we had to be back to the house. We walked around and talked and had a lot of fun. We even stopped at a pottery place and talked about how fun it would be to paint the pottery until we saw the prices!! Way to expensive and we didn't have enough time to do anything. We also sat in a massage chair and laughed as we watched as people went by. It was a lot of fun. We looked at the clock and realized that we were running late and needed to get back to the house. I needed to make one stop at FedEx to finish the book I had written for Tiaura in order to propose. I told her that I had to mail something to the office in Corpus overnight. She seemed to believe me at the time so that was good ;) Sneaky Sneaky! When we got to the house, only Perry and Harrison were home as Greggie and Calvin were at school. I was able to meet Perry an Harrison and play with them. It was so much fun. Harrison and Perry seemed to be a little hesitant to play with me at first. Perry is very social so he very much enjoyed having my attention. the older boys came home and I was able to finally meet them. they seemed very excited that I was there. We ended up going outside to play on bikes and I rode a bike with Greggie down the street. We had a nice ride together and just talked. I asked him how he would feel if I married mommy and he said he would really like that. We had pizza with the boys for dinner and then got the boys in bed. Grandma Smith watched the two older boys so Tia and I could go out on a date. We went to Braum's and got some ice cream. We came back to the house and watched a movie and then went to bed. It was a wonderful day! How grateful I am that the Lord brought us together and that I was able to have such a special experience meeting Greggie, Calvin, Perry and Harrison.
